iOmniscient, a global leader in Intelligent Advanced Video Analytics solutions for complex and crowded scenarios, is proud to announce that IQ-Series system ‒ its suite of advanced video analytics products ‒ has been recently deployed at Holy Shrine of Al-Attaba Al-Abbasiya in Karbala city of Iraq. This Holy shrine belongs to the one of big Muslims’ Holy Hero called Imam Al-Abbas. This shrine gives its services to millions of visitors every year through professional staff (more than 3000 employees) and tens of thousands of volunteers.
iOmniscient worked with its partner, Al-Moashour Co -an information Technology pioneer company in Iraq,to deploy a robust video analytics system which can meet customer’s stringent requirements. The shrine provides services to tens of thousands of visitors every day. During special days of the year, it receives about 5 -7 Million people within 2 ‒ 3 days. AsIraq is daily facing the threats of terrorist attacks, providing protection and security for these huge number of devotees in a small area was the biggest challenge and concern for the Holy Shrine.
To protect all visitors, hundreds of CCTV cameras were installed by the shrine. The requirement was to connect these cameras to a powerful and intelligent video analysis system. The systems required were facial recognition in a crowd, people counting, crowd management, left object detection in a crowd, and many other important features. “To reduce terrorist risks, the shrine searched and evaluated companies that provide video analytics solutions. Since iOmniscient was one of best companies in the world providing video analytics systems for complex scenarios, it was chosen, said Al-Moashour”.
“Al-Attaba holy shrine is a very crowded place. It was very difficult to find a system that can work in this environment and still give good results with acceptable accuracies. Many systems were investigated. iOmniscient’s IQ system was selected after extensive tests of over one year. The system proved to be robust and accurate”, added Al-Moashour.
iOmniscient’s advanced systems have the unmatched capability in analyzing realistic, complex and extremely crowded spaces using its internationally patented technologies such as Non-motion Detection. The systems are designed to cater to numerous applications like from simple intrusion and counting systems to unique object detection in a crowd, multi-lingual License Plate Recognition, world’s first non-co-operative Facial Recognition for Crowded Scenes, Detection of unusual people behaviors and many more.To perform as expected, all iOmniscient systems are armed with the Artificial Intelligence based Nuisance Alarm Minimization System (NAMS) to help eliminate false alarms while still maintaining detection accuracy.
This yet again proves that iOmniscient’s Video Analytics solutions are the best in the industry for coping with crowded and complex environment.
